Hello fellow rider!

Horses have been my passion for as long as I can remember—it's in my DNA! As a fearless country girl, I was riding by age seven, later joining Pony Club and Gymkhanas with my first horse, Folly. I’d often ride the neighbour's horse bareback, feeling the freedom that I know many horse-lovers share worldwide. This connection drives my pride in offering Helmet Brims for riders everywhere.

I adore seeing photos from happy customers on mountain treks, bush trails, and beach rides, proudly wearing my invention.

I live in country NSW, just outside of Blayney, NSW, and we're a farming region, with hot summers, cold winters, and a love for life on the land.

When I finished school, I worked proudly for two iconic Aussie brands, sparking my love for sewing at Berlei in Lithgow and Robin's Shoes in Bathurst. Later, working in custom furnishings taught me how to sew everything from curtains to tarpaulins!

This hands-on experience led to my first business, “HNJ Canvas,” at just 21, making and repairing things like tarpaulins and fitted covers while raising three boys (including twins!). Eleven years on, I sold the business and worked in a Blaney factory, saving for my dream 100-acre property in regional NSW.

In Blaney, I decided to tackle a personal challenge—sun protection for endurance riders like me. My damaged skin from riding without protection drove me to create Helmet Brims. Despite manufacturers saying it "couldn't be done," I used my 30 years of sewing expertise to make it happen, exporting globally!

After years of perfecting the Helmet Brim, and even creating a bicycle version due to demand, I’m thrilled to offer sun protection for both cyclists and equestrians, and I love receiving photos and testimonials from happy customers. It's also so good to hear from people who've got or had skin cancers that can now ride confidently again with my Helmet Brim.

I’m a true country girl, still in love with sewing, inventing, and farm life. Connect with me on socials and share your Helmet Brim adventures—I’d love to hear your stories!
